The education system of India has almost crumbled. The government schools are empty; teachers and students exist only on paper. The money for food is already imaginary after getting dwindled through the chain of civil servants. Let us hope that government does something in this regard which is more than another way to siphon off money from coffers.

Arjun, it be the second thing I am agreeing with you on :P.
Education system of India IS indeed faulty, dunno why people tout it as the best, because I consider it be the worst one. Even on higher levels its all about bookinsh knowledge, they are still living in past, say 15 yrs back.
As for the education for poor people, the paper work is fantabulous, i must say. But as gagan said, Corruption ruins it all.
